REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY was very different this year Due to the on-going Coronavirus pandemic. A very short wreath laying ceremony and Act of Remembrance was led by two members of the Parish Council at the war memorial inside St. Catherine's churchyard on Sunday 8th November 2020 at 11.00 a.m. with the two-minute silence, just for invited representatives from those organisations which traditionally lay a wreath at the war memorial, to keep the outdoor event small. Other members of the public who wished to lay a tribute could do so afterwards throughout the morning and afternoon whilst adhering to national and local government restrictions and observing social distancing at all times.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
